To export wines to Brazil, prior to the shipment, it is recommended to review the documents below with your customer in Brazil (IMPORTER):
1- Commercial Invoice: see in the “attachment a” the minimum information in the commercial invoice to meet Brazilian Customs requirements
2- Packing List: see in the “attachment b” the minimum information in the packing list to meet Brazilian Customs requirements
3- Bill of Landing: see in the “attachment c” (sea) and “attachment d” (road) the information in the bill of landing to meet Brazilian Customs requirements
4- Certificate of Origin for Exportation of Beverages: see in the “attachment e” the information required by Brazilian Customs for the Certificate of Origin for Exportation of Beverages, which must be issued by the official or officially accredited agency in the country of origin (meaning, from the country of the wine production)
5- Certificate or Analysis Report: it must include the batch and all mandatory parameters provided by local legislation – IN DIPOV 01/2019: alcohol content, sugar, total acidity, volatile acidity, sulfates, dry extract and methyl alcohol (methanol). In addition, it must be Issued by any laboratory registered in the MAPA (Brazilian Agriculture Ministry), check the authorized laboratories in the link. See in the “attachment f” how to consult.
6 – Official Proof of Typicality and Regionality: Issued the official or officially accredited agency in the country of origin (meaning, from the country of the wine production).
On top of the documents above, that need to be approved by the importer prior to shipment, its highly recommended to review and approve the labels with your customer in Brazil (importer), as there are minimum requirements from Brazilian Customs the labels must meet to enable the import of your product in Brazilian market.
